Info Post

This video clip was produced by a man who did some research as to why his European rental car got 60+ mpg and how the federal government has banned these cars from sale in the US - even as they are being built here!

It didn't take a team of "professional" investigators accompanied by a photojounalist and a camera crew to ferret out what is going on.

Just consider the impact on the budget from the 18.4 cents per gallon federal fuel tax if the average American car got twice the mileage out of a gallon of fuel. RLast year we used about 134 billion gallons of gas. That produced about $24.7 billion in gas tax; since 1997 all of this goes into the Highway Trust Fund which is used to repair and maintain our nation's highways.

The states benefiting the most from Highway Trust funds are:
1.District of Columbia
2.Alaska
3.Rhode Island
4.Vermont
5.Montana

Interestingly enough, except for Montana (29th), these states have the smallest amounts of paved roads in the nation.
