Do They Make Politicians Like This Anymore?

I find myself singing made-up lyrics to my toddler to the tune of "Davy Crockett". Just for kicks, tonight I looked up the song on You Tube. Fess Parker didn't do a bad job. And now I feel wistful. Can we find politicians like this? Real men who know about life and war and survival and honor? Men who can go to Washinton to do their "politickin", then go off into the sunset of the frontier?

Well, at least we can send our career politicians off into the sunset. That is probably a more attainable goal.
