Is anyone else getting the impression that Obozo is to politics as Al Gore is to the weather? Whenever they show up all hell breaks loose for business as usual.Washington (CNN) - Multiple advisers to President Obama have privately told party officials that they believe Democrat Martha Coakley is going to lose Tuesday’s special election to fill the Massachusetts Senate seat held by the late Ted Kennedy for more than 40 years, several Democratic sources told CNN Sunday.
The sources added that the advisers are still hopeful that Obama's visit to Massachusetts on Sunday - coupled with a late push by Democratic activists - could help Coakley pull out a narrow victory in an increasingly tight race against Republican state Sen. Scott Brown.
However, the presidential advisers have grown increasingly pessimistic in the last three days about Coakley's chances after a series of missteps by the candidate, sources said.
But White House spokesman Bill Burton told CNN: "The President is in Massachusetts today because he believes Martha Coakley is the right person for the job and indeed will be the next senator from Massachusetts."
There is more. After the rally the Democrats let loose a barrage at their favorite target, Bush 43.
This will be forever known as the Twilight Rally as they yanked the stake out of Dubyah's heart (for the nth time) and rolled the first Vampire President out of the hastily dug hole in his Crawford backyard. Throngs of hysterical ACORN workers waved torches and pitchforks as the corpse was exhumed. As audience members streamed out of Pres. Obama's rally on behalf of AG Martha Coakley (D) here tonight, the consensus was that the fault for Coakley's now-floundering MA SEN bid lies with one person -- George W. Bush.
"People are upset because there's so many problems," Rosemary Kverek, 70, a retired Charleston schoolteacher said as tonight's rally wrapped up. "But the problems came from the previous administration. So we're blaming poor Obama, who's working 36 hours a day ... to solve these problems that he inherited."
Rosemary Kverek is the wife of the groundskeeper at the Charleston/Kiawah golf course where Obozo played a grueling 36 holes in two days. This torturous caddy-killing pace was maintained in Hiawaii during the Fruit of the Boom episode. For Obozo, no sacrifice is too small.
Rep. Patrick Kennedy is the son of .... why none other than Ted Kennedy! Patrick Joseph Kennedy II (born July 14, 1967) was just two years old when his father forgot where he left Ms. Kopechne on July 18, 1969. But young Patrick ignored his own father's less than noble past and didn't hesitate to swing a wicked mallet as once again he drove a stake into Bush's chest.Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI), speaking with a gaggle of reporters after the event, said that while state Sen. Scott Brown (R) offers voters a quick fix, in reality, the problems created by "George Bush and his cronies" are not so easily solved.
But he seems to have memory problems just like his dad.
If I was a secretary working for Rep. Kennedy, I'd make sure my life insurance was paid up and take scuba lessons.(Curiously, Kennedy mentioned Coakley repeatedly during his remarks to reporters, each time referring to her as "Marcia," not "Martha.")
This whole bizarre scenario - it's like "Night Of The Desperate Dems" with members of Coakley's dead senatorial campaign staggering around seeking to gnaw on anyone with an (R) after their name.
