Tyranny's Watchmen

The Obama Administration is hoping for a prolongation of their Congressional super majority because unwinding freedoms that Americans have enjoyed for two centuries is difficult to accomplish in two years. It doesn't stop them from trying.

The "stability police" blog posting (scroll down to Nickie's previous blog post) is the latest take on what was supposed to be ACORN's role in crushing dissent by freedom loving Americans' reaction to the government's contingency. Thanks to two brave young Americans (biggovernment.com) the ACORN seed didn't take root the way it was supposed to. It doesn't mean that the Barack Hussein Obama Administration decided to pack up and go home. They simply need another way to create, "a civilian defense force, larger and better funded than the military".

That force, proposed by Obama, has only one enemy - YOU. The police do a very good job protecting you but they don't consider YOU their enemy.

America doesn't need a national police force. There is a REASON why we don't have one. There is a reason why the military is prohibited from engaging in police actions in the constituted United States. Why do you think this is the case?

Consolidation of police power in America to do this very thing is impossible because the jurisdictional mandates don't allow it. Additionally, many American police officers could be classified as "terrorists" based on the Janet Napolitano definition that is familiar to us at this point. Therefore, they are politically unreliable. What that means is that they are unlikely to fire into crowds of men, women and children carrying the Stars and Stripes, protesting the ObamaNation.

I urge you to use all means at your disposal to prevent the formation of this sort of "contingency force" for the purpose of "bringing stability" within the nation. Tyranny requires a ground game to function.

Quite frankly, I'm not the sort of person who sees a conspiracy in a cloudy day. If you read what I've written in the past, you'll see that I try to see the best in people and give them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, we seem to getting well beyond the point where we can see a benign motive in anything that this Administration or this Congress does.

The American people have an instinctive distrust of Obama and the band of misfits who swept into office last year. Firearms and ammunition that were purchased over the past year in record amounts have more to do with national insecurity with what freedoms we have left than they do with "stockpiling hunting supplies".

Those of you who read the GNN blog (thanks Nickie for being a virtuous leader) are among those who are concerned about the march of tyranny in the guise of "protecting you". You always need to ask who you need protection FROM.

Opposing a national police force, conceived as a measure toward "stability" is a step toward opposing tyranny.
