...And another attack on Freedom of Speech
According to (Media Czar) Lloyd, the success of conservative talk radio, and failure of liberal talk radio, is not because conservative talk radio is more popular with radio listeners, but rather, it is indicative of a market failure in need of a regulatory fix.
Kim Kovac of the Mountain Home News warns us about the new attack on Conservative Talk Radio by Obama's diversity police.Hello friends. I have been on vacation and totally out of touch with no cell phone or internet for days. I am hitting the road for South Dakota this morning but I wanted to post another Czar report. The white house is dancing around the fact that they are developing a "Hit List". This should be alarming enough. BTW: My husband turned me into that email address and asked if there was a reward! Jeeze! Even my own family wants to get in on this tattle-telling game. Well, I don;t have much time to really sink my teeth into this new Czar but I can give you alittle.

Here ya go! The new Media Czar! I can't stress enough how very very typical these actions are becoming from the new Administration.

What is dangerous about the new Czar, Mark Lloyd? Free speech is once again being threatened under the guise of "fairness" Therefore, let's start taking all of those troublemakers on the radio off the air as quickly and as legally as we can. These radio talk people have done far too much damage to the Administration and they are trying to come up with anything possible to do away with it. "According to Lloyd, the success of conservative talk radio, and failure of liberal talk radio, is not because conservative talk radio is more popular with radio listeners, but rather, it is indicative of a market failure in need of a regulatory fix.

To limit the number of conservative voices on the air, Lloyd prescribes shortening broadcast license terms from eight to three years, and allowing "local community leaders" and activists to weigh-in on whether or not a station's license should be renewed. He also proposes creating regulations to increase broadcast ownership diversity "both in terms of the race/ethnicity and gender of the owners." Did you read that? Community leaders and activists will be given the power to decide if a station's license will be reviewed. Can you grasp the significance of this?

Lloyd wrote, "The Structural Imbalance of Political Talk Radio" which definitely states that 76% of talk radio is conservative and that's not fair. It suggests that ownership must be capped so that minorities are given ownerships and licenses are revoked by those who do not conform.
